Dr. Seedor is committed to providing the highest quality vision care to his patients and making available to them state of the art vision correction techniques, including excimer laser refractive surgery (laser vision correction). Dr. Seedor is a Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Laser Vision Correction Center at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. He also is Director of the Corneal Service at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. He has traveled extensively to become one of the leading Laser Vision Correction Surgeons in the country. His training far exceeds the requirements established by the FDA.
Dr. Seedor received his undergraduate degree with honors from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania and his Doctorate of Medicine with honors from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia. He served an internship in medicine at Bryn Mawr hospital, and completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Seedor completed a corneal and external disease fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta in 1987. He is a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and the American College of Surgeons.
A board-certified ophthalmologist since 1987, Dr. Seedor holds both academic and clinical appointments at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Seedor has published many clinical articles and frequently lectures on corneal and refractive surgery topics. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Medical Association, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the Castroviejo Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Ocular Microbiology and Immunology Group, the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists, the Paton Society of the Eye Bank Association of America, the Medical Society of the State of New York and the New York and the New York County Medical Society.
